Shades of Ebony is a grassroots, not-for-profit organization
that provides the services, training and resources needed to assist
our girls ages 8 - 18 in the Roseland, Pullman, Altgeld communities
and the Chicagoland area, with the challenging obstacles of life. Shades
of Ebony assist girls in developing their self-esteem, social skills,
coping skills, physical fitness, professional goals, and advocacy skills
to become productive women of tomorrow.
Shades of Ebony:
- Provides structured gender-specific programming for girls' ages
8 - 18
- Exposes and provides public awareness relating to the issues our
girls face daily in our community
- Networks with all organizations that have committed themselves
to the betterment of our children and community, to provide services
for our girls
